Physiotherapy: Job outline
Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from a University of Applied Sciences are involved in the restoration and maintenance of the health and well-being of individuals from various socio-cultural and ethnic backgrounds and from all ages and stages of development. Their primary focus is on the treatment of impairments and dysfunctions of human movement, with the goal of developing, maintaining and/or restoring the maximum freedom of movement, and the ability to function normally, to individual patients/clients and population groups over the course of their lives.
Your therapeutic approach will be based on your extensive knowledge of the causes of impairments and the way in which different methods work. You will be able to select the most suitable treatment from the areas of kinesi-, thermo-, hydro-, electro- and mechanotherapy.
The practice of physiotherapy requires excellent observation skills, broad knowledge and the ability to match therapeutic actions to a patient’s needs, both in prevention and in treatment.
