We offer an attractive range of sports facilities to all students, lecturers and employees of the ZHW, to give them the opportunity to keep fit. ZHW Sport provides relief from the everyday stress of work and study and allows participants to meet new people and deepen existing friendships. It thus helps to promote healthy living at our university.

Our range includes training sessions, courses, exercise classes and events (individual and group, supervised and unsupervised), and is designed by the ZHW Sports Commission.

The Winterthur Sports Department is responsible for all our sporting activities, and provides specially trained or professional coaches to ensure expert guidance for participants.

In addition, all members of the ZHW can take part in the sports activities offered by the ASVZ (Akademischer Sportverband Zürich). Application forms can be obtained in the Sports Commission Registry (see box in the right-hand column). You will find information on the ASVZ sports offering at www.asvz.ch.

The postgraduate course in Sport & Management (information in German only) is also well worth considering.

Conditions of participation
No prior registration is necessary for most training sessions. You can join in at any time. The ‘Legi’ (student ID card), or for ZHW personnel the sports ID card, must be shown for swimming and climbing. Sports ID cards can be obtained in the Sports Commission Registry ( see box in the right-hand column).
